Apparently the newer model doesn't plug into an outlet. So if you want to unplug something now, the Trip Lite is unplugged. There is no hole in the tee or screws to attach it. The light adds a nice touch and indicates a power outage. The problem with light for me is that if it's in my field of vision it can be disturbing during sleep. The mount itself is very thin and can sit over an existing base plate, but you'll need to reinstall the base screws to secure it to the wall. I wish they had added more AC ports as I usually use my own USB boxes (standard USB charging specs).

I was disappointed to find that it no longer bolts to the panel. Other than that, it seems to work quite well. The light is a bit bright, we'll see how it gets at night, but it's perfect for protecting multiple devices. Update 03/27/2021 USB ports are not suitable for charging the battery. Very handy and easy to install. Also makes a good night light! I like powerful USB ports. In total they give 2 amps, which is a lot for USB. Most USB power supplies manage to output half an ampere at the plug. With it I can easily charge two full-fledged iPads at the same time with a lot of power. Works great although the outlets are very close together and the USB charging ports eliminate the need for separate charging plugs. I like that it attaches to the outlet with a wall plate screw. This obviously won't mount to GFCI sockets with finned screws top and bottom, but it's not recommended to be used on GFCI sockets anyway.
