TrippLite stands have square holes, they are not threaded for regular stand screws. If you want to mount equipment and/or shelves, vents, etc. in a Tripp Lite rack, you will need to purchase one of these square hole hardware kits. Cage nuts are not supplied with the luggage rack and, again, are a must-have accessory for any luggage rack. Good quality, fast delivery, no question.

Great official set from Tripplite. Incidentally, these are the same nuts and cage bolts that you get with the Tripplite 4-post rack. The screws are a bit shorter, so don't let that put you off.

I like Tripp Lite. But I don't like these screws. They are good quality but too short. Too short for the double fat ears on Ubiquity rackmount hardware. They were abandoned in favor of AC Infinity M6 propellers.

Comes with screws, cage nuts and plastic washers divided into individual bags (3 total). Every detail is completely black. The washers are a nice touch so the screws don't mess up the front of your ears (if you have painted ears). The cage nuts were easy to install and remove unlike the kit that came with my rack. Although a little more expensive than I thought I would pay for something like this, the product is great.

These are honestly the easiest to use cage nuts I've tried. You can easily insert them manually. The M6 size is great - it's stronger and easier to start / harder to screw in cross threads. The only thing to note is that the M6 will not fit in the holes of some rails and devices. If you have a big install planned, check that out first and when in doubt, order some M5s for the crazy ones.

Typically, Tripp Lite is one of the highest quality "universal" racks and accessories. Low score for captive nuts and bolts as the manufacturing process appears inconsistent. When I last bought Tripp Lite M6 cage nuts and bolts, the thread length of the bolt was 15-16mm. Ideal because it even works with devices that have thick mounting flanges and provide adequate nut engagement. The drawing shown shows that the length of the screw should be = 12.7mm.
