This is one of the best tablet stands I've found in a long time. This is an item of such quality and weight that when I first received it I thought they only sent me two of these by weight. It came fully assembled and took no time to figure out how to unfold and install. The base is large enough to protect even the largest tablets from tipping over. Hello from Panama in Latin America. I used it with a LePow 14 inch portable monitor at home to do some desk work. This setup was an absolute win-win situation. This stand allows me to adjust my portable monitor to the right height for my work. It's really difficult to find an appropriate balance to accommodate a large tablet or portable monitor. I like that the construction is solid and holds tablets well. As mentioned, you have to manually pull the "feet" to adjust the height and tilt (I would have preferred a button lock). So far, there is no slipping, which makes reading much easier. There is a concern that the height adjustment will wear off over time. But so far everything works as it should.

I bought this stand for the iPad, but I immediately returned it. Pros - It looks durable and elegant. Cons - it doesn't stay in place as there is NO tensioning mechanism. The weight of my iPad kept pulling my arm down as I tried to pick it up and clear the table. Also, I wouldn't call it universal since it can't hold a cellphone upright; It can only hold the cellphone horizontally.
