Something Better 5.11

I really enjoy wearing these pants, I'm upgrading from brand 5.11 and I needed a color that would fit into a uniform that I haven't had before and I wanted to try something different for a new job and I am glad I bought them, actually 4 pairs. They really take some getting used to, especially the back pockets, but other than that I really like these pants, they are tear resistant and waterproof for car washing, plane washing or working in the rain. The size fits well, no need to increase the…

Not as hard as they seem.

Got the pants today and am happy with them. I still have a pair of Tru Spec 24-7 pants and they are the best pants I have ever owned. I use them as work pants and they last longer than any pair of Carharts I've ever worn. The ample storage space in the pockets is very helpful when I'm working or carrying them every day. I've always bought Tru Spec pants from an army surplus store and it was a real pleasure to save about $30 on them. Edit: I've had these pants for 4 months now and the zipper…

right size? Problem solved

Waist just over 40 inches. After reading the comments I ordered the 40 inch size. Tried them on without a belt, not bad if you like to wear them on your lap. I believe that with an elastic waistband, a person with a 44 inch waist can wear them. Five belt loops, not the old style of seven (I think the other two loops are expensive), very baggy in back. Can't send them back, currently out of the country, now more money for rework if possible. Made in Indonesia, I believe my old TRU-SPEC was made…

See UPDATE overview. matches pants

They are better than some of the ones I have had but they cost twice as much. No kidding, and if you're a tech in any field or EMS you know what I mean. This is for the 32Wx32L that I have. be pretty brutal. There are usually at least 1 or 2 "stumbling blocks" related to defects. Not today! They appear in every category. - The fit was excellent and exactly as ordered. - Comfort, excellent quality, EXCELLENT. - Material, lightweight, breathable but warm. Absorbs water well. Hell, almost…

Are these fakes?

Like some others who have noted it in their reviews, I have serious doubts about the quality and therefore the authenticity of these Tru-Specs. I've had several pairs of the same 24-7's over the years. I bought them locally at a police/military store. There were no loose threads hanging or sticking out anywhere on the inside or outside of the pants. They have been and still are my favorite brand of BDU style tactical weights through 5.11 and beyond. Extremely durable and comfortable. But the…

Good, not perfect - uniform, work and security

I bought one of these pants and two pairs of 5.11 Pro Taclite pants at the same time to compare which are better. My main goal was to have pants that I could wear every day and also carry my gun on my belt. With traditional IWB pants, you need larger pants. So if you don't wear them, they're just too big. Both brands have an elastic band and to be honest I think TRU-SPEC wins the elastic for looks. It doesn't look like an elastic waistband. I also carry a knife (paramilitary 2) and if carrying…

THIS IS THE BEST TACTICAL PANTS

I have been in law enforcement for over 20 years and we are allowed to wear tactical pants as part of our uniform. I started wearing the traditional 5.11 but they never fit me properly. I've tried Propper but they didn't work for me either. One day while browsing a military and law enforcement store, I tried on a pair of Tru Spec 24/7 and fell in love with them. They fit me perfectly. And I love the fact that the crotch doesn't drop to the knees. It's like they were made especially for me. I…

Preferably. Trousers. Evar. in the military

Spacious. Lots of pockets. Durable, dirt-repellent fabric. While not "waterproof," you can spill something on your lap and often don't even get wet. I've often seen spilled coffee just drip. This property even withstands multiple washes. The velcro closures on the pockets also seem to hold up well. Lots of double stitching in many places. The knees are reinforced with an additional layer of fabric. The expandable pockets are designed with Velcro on the sides, so they can be folded when no extra
