Truck Lite 97662 Mirror Head Review

The mirrors are thinner material than what I replace on my truck and it would be nice to have a set screw in place to keep the screw in place and hold position. t move when you close the door

I have a 94 F250 with standard towing mirrors that fit most trailers. I also have a 98 inch wide 5th wheel. I generally look around the 5th wheel. With them I can now see clearly from both sides of the van.

Don't buy these mirrors they are total junk you're wasting your money I had to go to a junkyard to get old mirrors that are rusted on the inside and are as strong as can be, it's cheap chinese junk.

OEM price but cheap Chinese recycled junk. First, the lever is hollow with a threaded insert that simply rotates when tightened. Second, the screw is too short. Third, the screws on the back are not tight enough to stabilize the mirror and bar with the slightest pressure. Solid 8 out of 10 mechanical ability, not amateur for what it's worth.

Great looking mirrors to match current car side door brackets. However, the inner mounting nut rotates inside the hollow vertical arm, preventing the mirror from being tightened enough that it does not move when the door is closed. Otherwise build a fit and you're done if everything is ok. You just need that the mirror doesn't move that much.

These mirrors fit as expected. Where exactly as described. The quality is good, I ordered two, one of the mirrors fits well and tightly. One of the mirrors dangles freely as mentioned in some other reviews. It was very easy to fix. I just took the mirror off the mount and clamped it with a vise (on the mount, not the mirror) a couple of times to create some roughness in the mount and it worked great.

I bought this mirror to improve my vision while driving. The mirror is excellent in every way except that while riding the track I noticed that it rotates inwards due to the wind hitting the back of the mirror. When I stopped I tightened the screw at the bottom thinking I just didn't do it very well. I have two. Both have this problem. Unless I received two wildly defective ones, this product is garbage and a defective product. The video shows everything. As some of the other reviews say you can tighten the tube on the bracket and it will sway and move in the wind while driving which obviously renders it totally and utterly useless for the purposes a mirror is used for while driving.
