Delivered as advertised. The wire has a plastic spleen in the middle to separate 4 pairs and a breaking thread. A huge ++++ plus is that they put a SQUARE MARKER on the cable every two feet where the specs are listed. This comes in handy when you want to measure the running distance you need to cover. First I have to say that I bought another brand and had to send it back. When this cable came out, I noticed that it easily detached from the spool. The shell is thick and durable. It has a nylon thread that makes it smooth and easy to peel off. I had no trouble connecting the RJ45 connectors. End of story, it works great and I would buy it again.

Like other reviewers I bought this after having to return some cheaper options that listed as 23 AWG Cat 6 but 24 AWG (or even Cat 6 strand) upon arrival. This is the real thing, solid copper, the mic measured just under 23 AWG (I'll give you the benefit of the doubt due to the warping when uncoiling) and looks like the correct twist rate (I didn't measure). The cable is actually marked, as opposed to some that are unmarked. It's even cheaper per foot than one of the nameless, unmarked 23 AWG…

We're gearing up for AT&T fiber and I'm replacing the CAT 5e cable with this CAT 6 cable Concerned about bringing the benefits of fiber 1G into your home. The thicker wire and internal plastic cable splitter make this cable bundle a little thicker, but we're very happy with the CAT6 connectivity features and PoE performance. (important for PoE phones and cameras). Considering the time it takes to redraw the wire, the added cost of solid copper seems very small at this point. I'm glad we decided
