CAT6 for the win! fits computer accessories and peripherals

It was just what we needed to power Ethernet nodes in our new home. The only downside is that if you don't need 1000ft, you have no other choice. I wish they had a smaller option for working from home. It is also not recommended to use Cat6 plugs with them as they will not fit. Cat5 or Cat7 strangely work.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Get details

A wonderful cable, but buying the right RJ-45

I was able to run my house through the attic. I'd say this bad boy is fat, so it's a little awkward for my inexperienced fingers to plug into my RJ 45, but here are the tools I used to make some network cables. I used about 100 feet of wire to go the longest stretch of my house. You could buy about 600 feet instead of 1000 but oh well. The house is approximately 2200 square meters one floor. Hope this information helps, and have fun! It's definitely a quality product (check out the speed tests…

Pros
  • is understandable, even on the old
Cons
  • tape

High quality cable and connector materials

I've wired my whole house with Cat 6 shielded vertical cables and it's amazing. Because it's shielded, its thickness is the same as an RG6 quad shield cable. It's definitely worth the extra money to get a screen when you're dragging this stuff through walls and all kinds of rooms. The length is marked on the cable so you know how much is left in the box which is a huge bonus as I was constantly worried about running out of cable.

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Vulgarity
