I have rented a similar pump from Home Depot three times a year for over $50 each to divert water from a flood that occurs in my yard every late winter, early winter. Spring. We even get ducks every year. This pump works just as well. It was a great investment.

My company has used these pumps for over 15 years and they are very reliable. We mainly use for pumping clean water. The pumps were accidentally left on, ran dry for hours overnight and still work great. The only problem we encountered is the impeller, which wears out over time.

This thing is really good for quickly pumping dirty water. I drained the last 8000 gallons from my pool along with the typical dirt that accumulates over the winter. It took less than 3 hours to empty the pool and it stays 3-4 inches. Very impressive. Time will tell about the durability.

Bought for work. Used for pumping water and sludge from collection tanks at busy car washes in preparation for pumping dirt with a pumping machine. Works great and is very strong. The best part is that you don't have to prime the pump. My only complaint is that I wish it had a wired remote control.

I first bought a 1hp pump and it wasn't much bigger so I went back to it. This pump is too much for my pond. I just recommend googling the calculation to determine how much water is in your pond and find the right pump to circulate the water in your pond in 1-2 hours. My pond was a bit small. Highly recommended

Great pump. Consumes about 5 amps. Very quiet operation. Remember, once the water is about 2 inches deep, it will start sucking in air. To go to 1/16 inch I have Wayne's water bug. Great little pump. It had a 50 foot hose and was elevated 7 feet and the water coming out of it in the yard looked like a fire hose. Very impressive! No clogs, works great. Excellent purchase. it really worked. I am now fully prepared to remove water from any basement if necessary.

I've only used this pump once but I use different pumps regularly and everything about this pump is well done. I've used it straight out of the box to remove sediment from the bottom of an industrial boiler sump, lots of sediment and hot water and it never missed a beat. I don't write many reviews but I felt this pump deserved one. When it rains heavily, my oil pit in my workshop overflows and fills with water. pit 4 feet. width 6 feet. Deep and 20 feet long and I had water about 4 feet deep. This pump worked wonders, draining her about 3 inches in under an hour. It keeps the 2" drain hose in the water at all times.
