needs to be pre-stretched for on-road use as a spare

Excellent tires which tend to be more stable than some other brands, straight and correct. The 700c tubular aluminum rim takes a bit of effort. I had to put stock rims and wheels in, inflate them up to 100 pounds and let them stretch for a couple of weeks. Usually keep two or three in this condition for easier installation on the go when I get an apartment. In New Jersey, road quality is an issue and flat sections are to be expected as the shoulders are uneven.

Pros
  • Anti-puncture layer
Cons
  • Not the best

Holds air for a long time

Great Czech training tyre. They are very durable and hold air for a long time, up to two months. They offer excellent value for money, especially when bought in bulk. The disadvantages are that they are difficult to stretch and glue. You might go to a bike shop to have them glued on. In this case, compare the installation prices beforehand. They are also not as smooth and a little heavier than competition tires. However, I really appreciate the convenience of not having to refill air every fewโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Fine tread pattern for low rolling resistance and good driving performance
Cons
  • Everything great

This Tufo is rock solid and worth the money

Absolutely great solid tire. Not the lightest tubular, but not too heavy either. Our rural back roads here in East Texas will burst any smaller tire. I have this Tufo in the rear position on my 40mm carbon wheel filled with 2 ounces of Orange Seal to prevent flat tires. After about 700 miles of use in our hot summer season it has yet to have a flat tire - if it has, let's hope Orange Seal will 'do the trick' and seal it - just as a new 'Road Tubeless' installation is expected . make. So, afterโ€ฆ

Pros
  • 60 TPI construction
Cons
  • Good but not great
