Freedom is free but soda isn't

Honestly I can't tell you what a big difference there is between using and not using. Maybe not worth the money or extra time.

Maybe I didn't get the point?

I've often read that soda is used to dye shirts. I soaked the shirts for 20 minutes, wringed out the excess, and the shirts seemed to shed the dye. I have better luck not using soda. The color also washes out heavily with soda shirts compared to others.

All shirts fit perfectly! We used Tulip brand colorings for this soda.

According to the instructions I didn't let it soak for 20 minutes so I just soaked it quickly. And I haven't soaked some t-shirts, so there's nothing quite like it. But we dyed 6 shirts ourselves and the guests dyed 7 or 8 more. All shirts did a great job! We used Tulip brand dyes with soda ash and the colors came out great.
