Works like a charm - security

Our van's door latch broke at 6am when we were outside in the 30 degree weather. We had to break open the camper to get in, the door wouldn't open from the outside. I called 2 dealers for parts, none were in stock. $30 cheaper on Revain than ordered from the retailer and received the next day. We were incredibly lucky, this part fit perfectly and took 20 minutes to install. Works great.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Only available in black

Does its job in security

Additional keys from a locksmith cost $20. Home Depot does not have letterheads. You can buy blanks for about $10 each and cut them up at Home Depot for a few dollars more. This lock works great. Both locks open with the same key, so thank goodness I only have to carry one! Unfortunately, the handle cannot be locked or unlocked from the inside. The bolt can only be locked or unlocked from the inside. You must use the key to unlock/lock the handle.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Useless features

fits my 1985 coachman

I have a rare 1985 coachman from Canada so it's hard to find anything for him. Bought this lock for added bolt security. My van didn't have a latch so I had to cut through the door frames to make holes. A battery powered Dremel did the job in less than 10 minutes. But it was perfect for the frame size. I also installed a latch for even more security. Very durable product will be bought extra and end up only having one.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Easy installation. for safety

I have a 2008 Gulfstream Yellowstone and it fits perfectly. It's got that heavy duty plate that lets you use a deadbolt style lock. Having tried someone breaking in I can say that these bars add a nice extra layer of protection. The thieves couldn't break it open, but the bolt was destroyed. This locking plate was a bit fiddly to remove, but the new one snapped in place instantly. This is good quality. I paid The Camper Guy to install it for me because I was concerned that thieves might damageโ€ฆ

Excellent quality. Small modification. Closes better than before

I installed this on my 1981 Coachman 20' Surrey. With a little tweaking it fits and looks good. Now closes MUCH smoother. All in all I recommend this product. Two changes had to be made: 1. The new handle was slightly longer than the bolt lock. I used a jigsaw puzzle (see photos) to score this area.2. Drill larger holes in the firing pin. I used a 1/2" drill bit. As a result I had to drill at an angle from the outside in order for the new handle to fit. slight pressure to slide it through theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Good lock but not a direct replacement for Bargman L300

Bought to replace my Bargman L300. Everywhere on the internet, including the Bauer website, it is written that it is a direct replacement. Well, you need to stretch the truth a bit, and you'll need some skill and cutting tools to do the stretching. The dimensions are close enough, but depending on how the original cutouts were made you will have a gap in the top corner of the pawn forend, on the lock side both inside and out. The Bargman has slightly wider bezels and a more forgiving doorโ€ฆ

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Bought to replace Bargman L300 fasteners. Good product

I bought two to replace Bargman L300 latches on a 1989 Gore horse trailer. For my application, I had to enlarge the door cutout on the front about 1/2 inch wider to accommodate the new set of latches. This was easy to do with the Rockwell Oscillation Tool. Another adjustment I had to make to the trailer to work with this replacement door latch was to drill a new hole in the door under the bottom latch pin so the deadbolt could be used. The screws on the side of the door edge on the new latchesโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Some flaws

Fits great and latches but can't latch from inside

Received it after my 3rd Trimark failure in 6 years and it installed perfectly in literally 90 seconds. My trimarks needed a little or a lot of tweaking, but the pawn closes and opens perfectly the first time and is better than any other trimark. Very smooth, strong and reliable, and everything is aligned. BUT! Handle. The sliding cover of the mesh door gets in the way. While the tee is open in the handle, the pawn is a slimmer design but is not open on the lock side, so it cannot be taken from

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak
