Fixed a problem with our Yamaha golf cart. You need pullers to remove the old one, but they're cheap. Used 2x4 to compress the new panels to secure them. No problems after exchange.

This clutch works well when you need a lot of torque to get uphill, right? This is no good if you want to keep your current top speed, which is what I wanted. I was told at my local golf shop that the HD spring increases low torque for hillclimbing but does not change top speed. He was really wrong! The spring is too strong to allow the belt on the secondary clutch to drop midway to shift to high speed, so to speak. I went from 20 mph to 14 mph and that's well over engine RPM. Big difference…

The small spring on the drive end that is included in the splines to the driveshaft has been machined incorrectly. The spline was crooked and the details wobbled a lot, which I have a video of. I turned out to be an experienced mechanic and removed 3 wear pads from the new one and replaced the worn ones with the old one.
