Quality Control Issues?

I'm a longtime Tweezerman fan but a few wire cutters I've received are challenging my loyalty. I think they have quality control issues: the blades on the pair I received were barely sharp - less than the 5 year old pair they were meant to replace - and the handles were so poorly finished they had sharp edges that scratched my palm. Not as advertised - I have requested a refund.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • Hard to say

I have an LTD Tweezerman 1/4" which is much better. I was looking to buy a second pair in case these need to be sent in for sharpening. I don't recommend 1/2 jaw - it's much wider than needed for the cuticle and awkward to use and get into tighter spaces. The handles are shorter and have a slightly different shape at the ends, with palm pain, even for a woman's hand. They're not as comfortable to use, but the blades themselves feel just as sharp and precise as the LTD's the first time you use…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Approximately

Duller, inferior steel than before; I will not buy again

pity. I used to buy nail care equipment from Tweezerman. The last 2 pairs were sorely lacking in sharpness. And that last pair of grips is shorter enough that it rests on my palm instead of the soft base under my thumb - and it hurts! DO NOT PROVIDE!

Pros
  • even the old one understands
Cons
  • compatibility

Quality control problems

I bought two of them. I bought the first one in 2014 and I really like it. It's way better than a department store - the blades are sharp and perfectly aligned. Rather, they're used to it - after a few years of heavy use, the hinge will wear out and the blades won't line up as well. However, it still works pretty well and I still use it today. I liked it so much that I bought it for my mother a year later. Although she never really liked hers - she said they pulled at her skin. Finally I looked

Pros
  • I look forward to
Cons
  • Vulgarity

DO NOT SPEND MONEY

First of all I want to say that I bought it on December 20, 2020 when I was in school. I used it here and there when someone came to church, but I hardly ever used it. When I graduated I didn't do nails as I'm a full professional so I do facials. I got my first job at a nail salon last week and the blades are so dull they don't even cut the cuticle and it's embarrassing. Now reading the reviews I see that many people have this problem along with others. Some people also think wire cutters are…

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Weak set

Buy a Revlon cutting plotter.

I ordered these pliers to replace my 20 year old Revlon pliers. It has a broken spring but otherwise it has worked well and has done so for all these years. The Tweezerman is not cutting cleanly and the spring tension is too tight. I ordered tweezerman pliers because i have tweezerman tweezers which are the best and i thought all of their products would have the same accuracy. Unfortunately I made a mistake, I'm sending it back.

Pros
  • Noble design
Cons
  • The list is getting long.
