The star is simply beautiful. It would be ideal if it had a plug instead of a battery. One problem is using a lot of batteries and the other problem is getting to the backpack to turn it on and off and also change the batteries. However, it is beautiful.

Missing gold glitter paint on some materials - need to fix. I may have ordered a return to get a good deal. I didn't put batteries in the headlights this year. The battery box is 3aas, which is surprisingly bulky for a single piece of jewelry.

This is a big star for a good sized tree. There is NO WAY to attach it to tree lanterns! It has a small case for 3 AA batteries that is connected to the star with a few inches of wire. The battery compartment has a single on/off switch. SO YOU HAVE TO REACH INTO THE LARGE DECORATED CHRISTMAS TREE TO TURN THIS THING ON AND OFF! CAN BE SWITCHED ON AND OFF! TOTALLY USELESS!

My 9 year old son wanted a Star of Bethlehem for the head of his Christmas tree. It's very pretty but remember the glitter is everywhere. It's a solid wire and quite good value for money. I LOVE this look! It's bright, colorful and looks beautiful on my tree. It's battery operated so that was a little unusual as I'm used to plugging in my treetops. Initially it wasn't easy to keep him up on my tree as the top of the star is much heavier than the base. Sometimes there really isn't that much of a problem.
