I bought this for my new 24" I-Mac because the I-Mac only has USB-C ports and no SD card reader. All my external hard drives have USB ports. So I needed something to convert them to USB-C. It fits perfectly and I don't see it sticking out of my new computer, giving it a clean look. I recommend this product.

If you have one of the newer MacBook Pros that only have Type-C ports then you will definitely benefit from buying one of these types. Gives you loads of I/O you wish you had!

Product works great but I bought a case for my MacBook and I need to position the adapter a certain way for it to work as the cover is a bit thick on the sides. But other than that, it does its job properly. However, it gets warm after long-term use.

I was so lucky to find a "wireless" hub. It works well and I haven't had any problems with it. My computer recognizes it and the drives immediately. I don't have a USB port or an SD port, only a micro SD, which is very convenient for me.

On paper, this is all I wanted. In reality, it leaves a lot to be desired. Like all USB-C adapters, it's very easy to get knocked out and lose connection. Even at steady state, the unit occasionally gets uncomfortably warm and I often see a flickering black screen that lasts 2-3 seconds, or sometimes I have to unplug and plug the adapter back in for the HDMI output to work. When you plug it in it jiggles and the computer doesn't recognize the connection unless I hold it down the whole time. I'll throw it away and look for a better hub.

Not sure if I'm just unlucky because the reviews on this product looked great but I can't get my device to work. I connected it to all ports on my 15" Macbook Pro with Touch Bar and none of them worked with this product. It doesn't seem to fit the connector all the way, but if I press any harder I'll damage my laptop. I was very excited to try this product and use it for college and such but unfortunately I will be returning it and trying a different brand. Purchase at your own risk.
