This is exactly what I need to make masks. They are soft and comfortable on your ears and easy to adjust. It's hard to guess the exact size people need if you can't measure them personally, so this is the perfect solution. I was nervous about the length when I ordered, but they stretch well and fit everyone I've sent masks to. I have washed them several times (in mesh bags) with good results. I was so happy that I ordered more.

My son is very happy I am using these for new masks for him. I have made masks without an adjustable ear cup and they are "small". The customizability makes all the work of making masks worth it so my kids will wear them. Elastic stretchy and soft. If the plastic regulator comes loose, it's almost impossible to fix, so just don't pull on it. I didn't count the straps as I wouldn't do anything with 50 masks anyway.

I use this elastic on my masks that I make. I thought a pre-cut elastic with adjusters would help. I worry that the chewing gum is of poor quality and will deteriorate over time and customers will come back to me unsatisfied. Also, they were different lengths so I always had to cut and straighten them before sewing them onto the mask. I'm a bit disappointed with this product but as I've used a few of them I can't return them.
