Do not buy! Loud and almost impossible to install!

We bought this part for our 2008 Chrysler Aspen Limited and it was almost impossible to install not only due to the location of the part (it had to dismantle almost the entire dash and passenger side panel of the car) , it is very noisy and grows louder and louder as the HVAC control is slid up to increase airflow. We strongly recommend paying the extra $ and buying the OEM - do not buy this part!

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Tips for installing a new fan Durango 2005

Perfect for my 2005 Durango! What You Need and Removal/Install Tips. 1/4" extension 10" 1/4" motor ratchet 3" flathead screwdriver Locate the wire connector, use a screwdriver to press and pull down on the clip between the connector and the fan housing. Continue with the next screw. Before loosening the 3rd screw, pull the carpet out from behind the padding and down to help you remove the fan. If you follow these steps, you'll save yourself a lot of swearing and get cool air in your face again!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • So So

I purchased and installed this fan motor in July 2015. It's always been a little louder than the original, but this week the bearing in the motor started humming and it's getting louder every day. I hope it doesn't break and catch fire under my dash. I also cannot return this faulty Revain motor or find a way to claim under warranty. This is one of those cases where brick and mortar is the best way to buy an auto part. Live and learn... Revain is not the place to shop for car enthusiasts andโ€ฆ

I wasn't happy with this product

I have a 2001 Durango. I bought it new so I've had it for 13 years. This car usually has a part (heating area) that only lasts a few years. Changed 4 times a year. This part that was sent to me was not a part that I have replaced over the years. To make this part I had to cut the case and only 2 of the 3 screws could be used to mount the fan without tying the fan case together. I was not happy with this product. I don't understand how I can get something from another model when I ask for aโ€ฆ

Fits 2004 Dodge Durango!

This product worked great on my 2004 Dodge Durango. You may need to adjust the male electronic connectors by prying them out about 1/32 inch, a small adjustment is sufficient. Item is manufactured to fit but you may need to line up the pins with the socket inserts. The fan fits as an OEM at a significantly lower price. Replacing this fan takes about 15 minutes. The reason for the replacement is the ohmic mobility of the old fan. Years of dirt, grime and particles in the air cause resistance toโ€ฆ

  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Works great, just loud

Works but damn loud. It's about 25 percent louder compared to a standard fan, but it's not air noise, it's a mechanical clicking noise that increases in intensity with each increase in fan speed. My car has automatic temperature control so thankfully I can barely hear it because once it gets up to temperature it reduces the fan speed pretty quickly, but now I have to set the AC to 75 to keep it from running at that speed. high speed. I usually run the A/C on 72, but I'm used to cranking theโ€ฆ
