📦 8x4.7 ft Tyvek House Wrap Ground Sheet with 4 Grommets Review

Item was advertised as 8 x 5 but when I measured it on arrival it was 4.7 x 8.9. May not be a problem for some but it is very easy to cut paper to specification so I expect what was specified and what I paid for.

This was not the Tyvek I was expecting. It's more like paper than the flexible Tyvek mesh used in household packaging. It's tough. I can't even imagine how to pack that in a backpack. To return.

Tyvek is the way it should be. The small plastic corners didn't last. I personally don't care, but you might. The cut made the perfect footprint for my Zpacks duplex tent, even with the corner plastic.

It rains a lot in Oregon - but hey! My cat lives outside (at night and when it rains) in Catio. Tyvex made it waterproof for the winter. I take it off for spring/summer/fall and will use it again next winter. I really wish it came with extra sticky rope holders. That's why I deducted a star

This is the second Tyvek seat I've bought (the first was for UL 3); this is for my Big Agnes UL2. Appears to be of the same quality, but not 5 feet wide; it is 55 inches. Luckily wide enough for my UL2 which is 52 inches tall. I'll add my review if the quality isn't the same, but would love to post this in case more people look at this for accurate measurements.

I bought this along with a 2lb 2 man tent that can be set up with trekking poles or even poles. It was the perfect tent walk and I think it provided some insulation from the cold ground because I was comfortable with it, my insulated ultralight air mattress and my 20 degree sleeping bag on a 29 degree night.
