I bought these boots for my 18 month old grandson who has just learned to hike. He needed a durable, waterproof boot that would support his feet and ankles on rough terrain with rocks and tree roots. The stitching along the sole is only cosmetic, the shoes are glued to the sole. The forefoot separated from the rest of the shoe after only a few months. It also scratches very easily.
