Missing parts arrived, did not fit sides of this vehicle exactly. The screw handle came with a pre-stamped bolt. Installation was easy for me as I'm a mechanic and can tell what needs to be done at a glance. Two 10 screws were missing to attach the safe to the frame.

, but the instructions are very difficult to read, the video in You Tube also helps to look at preliminary views that help, don't hire until 45 minutes after reading the reviews. YOU NEED TO GO TO YOUR LOCAL HARDWARE RETAILER AND BUY 2 10mm SELF TAPPING SCREWS which are not included before installation and have a drill and drill bit to re-drill the two front tiny holes to make the 10mm -Install self-tapping screws that you purchased prior to installation.

Started installing this lock last night. but had to stop because the 2 bolts attaching it to the truck were too short. Manny mentioned this in his reviews but I forgot. After a quick trip to the hardware store I grabbed two new screws to complete the installation and couldn't be happier. The installation guide is quite difficult to read but shouldn't put anyone off as it's not difficult to understand. Very simple design that will help me anyway. Many Thanks

Instructions come with a sheet of nickel sized photos that are not visible. I returned the item once as it turned out there were not enough screws as I was not told I would use the screws that were present. Also, they don't fit all Tacomas the same way. I had to modify the box and console cover to close it. This would be easy to do by 1) modifying the product itself or adding instructions and a cutout, and b) providing a small rasp to modify the plastic. Overall a good product just lazy crappy…

Instructions were beyond useless. Please keep the paper they are printed on as they were unusable. The safe as built and installed prevented the center console lid from closing due to a jammed latch and the top of the chest frame. It is necessary to have longer screws (or go to your local hardware store) that you remove from the bottom of the console as the screws you removed will NOT work to put everything back together as intended. The installation took some time, the instruction pictures are very small and difficult to read. I installed it on thin console carpet which increased the height of the installation. The replaceable screws that attach the entire box to the case were too short. An easy trip to premium hardware to get 1/4 longer screws. $2.40 Also lifting could cause the console latch not to be the correct clearance to work properly, the latch had to be rough to open. It's finally great to have a lockable console drawer on our Revain tacos. Easy installation was pretty straightforward, however the installation instructions could have had more detail or larger pictures, but it wasn't difficult to understand. After my truck was robbed at night because I forgot to lock it, it was necessary to keep valuables, registrations and garage remotes as a strong second guard. The gauge steel is thick and seems durable. Everything included fits well with no modifications.
