A 70 year old sink made new!

We live in an old mining cabin in the desert, probably built in the 1920's. The bathroom was added in the 1950s when water became available. The sink is enameled cast iron and is covered with deposits or erosion and 'permanent' limescale, which I thought was possible. I tried one of these: it was scale, and the limescale is just stubborn!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • too stupid

Cleans clean but doesn't last long

I used a Pumie cleaning stick to remove mineral deposits from two toilet bowls. It took a full stick when cleaning debris. I've used a different brand in the past with a much longer lifespan. The result I received from Pumie does not match the description of "Heavy Duty" on the packaging as it is used up very quickly. I hope to find a much more durable product in the future.

Love love live for my feet

I use scrub for my feet, really works wonders I've had heel cracks so bad I could get an infection for years and the doctor told me I really should rough its pumice stone but all in the beauty department were smooth and flat didn't remove dead skin, found this one at the hardware store it's perfect, it really removes dead skin. I haven't suffered from cracked heels in many years and you can also buy this in bulk from Amazon

Pros
  • Top marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Some problems

Works like a charm for sponges and swabs

Ideal for removing stubborn hard water stains from toilets and porcelain sinks. Make sure to keep the wand and the surfaces to be cleaned wet. It's a softer, fine-grained pumice stone, but still abrasive - think "wet grinding". I soaked mine in water for about an hour before using. Wand will gradually disintegrate with use.* Not suitable for plastic or fiberglass, glass or chrome fittings. If your sink and countertop are one piece, this tool is NOT suitable.

Really the ONLY thing I've found that works.

I've tried everything! Spend hours searching Google for limescale and toilet deposit solutions. (Our water is very, very bad and accumulates quickly). I tried every product I could find. I was able to get the stains out, but since the hard water deposits remained, the toilet became stained again very quickly. It turns out that good old pumice stone does the job. Just make sure it's slightly damp before you start brushing. I thought it would scratch the surface, but it doesn't. Takes a little…

Completely wow! Best in Household Supplies

My chrome sink plug was disgustingly corroded. I tried Bartenders Friend, CLR, Grout Cleaner and nothing was removed. I joined a plumbing forum for advice and several contractors told me that I needed to replace the sink assembly as you can't just buy a plug. I thought I'd have to live with it until a friend who cleaned hotel rooms told me about Pumi. I couldn't believe the difference! Yes, a few scratches off the shelf, but I don't care. Looks 100 times better than before; and my non-removable

THEY WORKED FOR ME WHEN NOTHING ELSE HAS

Only used them out of desperation on the toilet, sink and tub for hard water stains that have accumulated over the years despite EVERYONE trying to get rid of them. Went through 5 out of 6 sticks fairly quickly but THEY WORK where nothing else works on all surfaces. I've read about some concerns about scratches and while I can see surface marks on the surface with a magnifying glass, the scratches don't penetrate the metal so it went far enough without causing damage. My next choice was…

Amazingly amazed

I used this on my gas range. I was amazed at how great it worked. My stove was very covered in dirt/grease from cooking (and it was a new stove when I bought it) so it's been around 3 years since we bought it. I didn't realize how much had accumulated. and I clean it regularly but have never noticed what was not cleaned in the cleaning. until one day after installing new lighting in the kitchen I took a closer look. Boy was I embarrassed and embarrassed that others could notice all the time but

Works very well: Sponges and swabs

A few years ago I moved into a house with well water. The house has water softening and filtration systems but when I moved in all the toilets had ugly black mineral rings around the bowl. elbow grease etc but nothing dented it. I was about to buy new toilets when I came across articles saying pumice stone was the way to go. I have ordered several Pumie Sticks. The results were almost amazing. Rings and other stains were removed from each toilet bowl using a Pumie stick in less than 5 minutes…
