Very poor image quality

I was very disappointed with the color rendering of this camera: all the vegetation looks reddish (in the attached picture all the plants are actually light green), and there is no way to soften it to a decent level, although the camera settings. I ordered the G3-PRO from "Got it Gifts" from one of the sellers here and returned the camera after testing. A replacement from the same seller had the same issues so I returned both. When I contacted Ubiquiti directly, they offered to return the…

Zoom is a joke. The picture quality is excellent.

I think they have really great picture quality. For some reason I can only get a network connection to the camera at 100Mbps instead of the advertised 1Gbps. I use all Ubiquiti UniFi network devices. As a result, I only get an image that's around 720p, but it's still a good image. IR is awesome. The only problem is that the IR attracts bugs and spiders so I had to disable the IR and only use it in winter. I placed an IR illuminator about 15 feet away that allowed me to see at night with this…

Not impressed. for camera and photo

I really liked this camera considering it has great control software and fantastic build quality. Very easy to install and configure. UnifiVideo software is free to download and very easy to set up. The interface is very nice, the mobile app works very well for connecting to UnifiVideo remotely, at home or outdoors. The biggest problem is the video quality and the autofocus. Colors aren't what I would call true color or brightness, focus is terrible and night vision leaves a lot to be desired…

Great camera with great software

The picture quality of this camera is amazing. I have paired three of them with Ubiquity Cloud Key 2 Plus and am very satisfied. I can use the UniFi Protect app to set things like motion detection area and sensitivity, adjust the zoom and image, and swipe the video back and forth. It shows when movement has been detected in the scroll bar, making it easy to get to the interesting spots. A single POE cable was just what I needed for my setup because when I was building my house I asked an…

3x optical zoom Misleading

For the extra $225 I was expecting more, stick with the regular G3, IR is better but not enough to justify the cost difference, the optical zoom capability was the reason why I bought this camera but the way it is designed makes it unusable for live viewing or even playback. Most of the cameras I've worked with use optical zoom first and then switch to digital zoom. This camera isn't, it's both. You'll need to go full screen, then edit, then zoom in and make sure the other settings allow the…

3x zoom, metal body, larger than the regular G3

The UVC G3 Pro is an upgraded version of the UVC G3 in the Ubiquiti Unifi Video lineup. I won't go into the details of the setup, but it was immediately found and accepted by my current Unifi NVR, just like their other cameras. (These cameras require Unifi Video which is free to download from Ubiquiti and can work offline or you can connect to a physical server/NVR). for nighttime viewing and recording in 1080p at 30 fps. Ubiquiti claims that the UVC G3 Pro offers about 15% better night vision…

  • Very expensive
