It was pretty easy to put together. It's not as durable as I would like it to be. We have electric coats and they flip everything. Shoe holders are plastic canvas material. We wanted to put it on the door, but it's not strong enough, so we'll put it in the kid's room. I don't think it will last long but I hope so.

Very easy to assemble. I measured 23 inches wide, not 31 inches. Although one of the eight plastic hooks arrived broken, they were still enough for me. It's great for the price. The shelves are made of durable paper fabric, not metal. Because of this, I don't know how durable it will be in the long run. In general I am satisfied with them.

MUCH smaller than I expected but I think it's my fault for not measuring more? Very easy to set up despite the lack of detailed instructions (see last photo). My order arrived on time, my friend assembled the device in about 20 minutes. He decided to leave 1 shelf for extra space for bigger shoes. I can fit 3 pairs of women's size 8 shoes in a row, his size 10 shoes fit better with 2 in each row, but the shoes can easily be stacked on top of each other to fit a 3rd pair. This shelf is very affordable. It came in a small box that didn't even weigh 5 pounds. The material your shoes are put on is very cheap white plastic which can break easily and the hooks to hang your stuff are very cheap plastic and one of mine was broken when I received it. This piece doesn't stay in place, if you touch it it wobbles a lot. We had to put some styrofoam on the bases to keep them from wobbling. He is very weak and small, and I doubt he can bear the heavy weight of our winter coats here in Boston. Hooks move, not fixed. I just needed something to help my boys stay organized at school because let's be honest their organizational skills need Jesus. This shelf is cheap, lightweight but gets the job done.
