These counterweights work as advertised and are easy to fit. I attached two and was able to move my iPhone 11 Pro to the left just enough to keep the ultra-wide stabilizer from catching on the frame. If I had one wish, it would be two 20g weights and two 10g weights in the set to allow for more precise balancing in 10g increments, which benefits the Osmo Mobile 3 gimbals.

I use this on my iPhone 8 when I'm recording videos. It keeps the phone level with the horizon and also has zoom and other on-device controls. The only complaint is that it doesn't stabilize up and down movements when walking while filming. Correction. I wrote this review for OSMO Mobile 3 by mistake, then I realized it was about counterbalances. I still love them and when you add extra lenses to your iPhone and use the Mobile 3 they help balance the gimbal.

Inexpensive (cheap) wide-angle phone lenses very often only give sharpness in the center and all sides and corners look very blurry. A good wide angle lens is much larger and the extra glass keeps the image sharp throughout the frame. But such a lens is heavy and if you're using something like the Osmo Mobile 3 it's not going to be balanced. These counterweights completely solve the problem.

There is currently only one counterbalance on the market that fits the Osmo Mobile 3. I've visited several stores (Lowe's & Home Depot) to buy some bolts and use M3 screws to attach to other counterweights (Moment, Eachshot, etc.) and NONE has been as good as this one. The threads on this are not (yet) stiff or rusting. I can use all my Moment lenses with my iPhone XR without any problems. The case is a little thick so the Osmo Mobile 3 doesn't hold the phone tight enough, but when new cases…

Osmo was tired of releasing an official counterbalance for the Mobile 3 gimbal so I was pleasantly surprised and excited to find this item recommended. Works as advertised and keeps my phone and case intact with the Moment wide angle lens as well as the Sirui anamorphic lens. It screws in and out easily, but I'd be careful when tightening for fear of breaking the gimbal threads (although that's more the Osmo's fault than the counterweight).

Excellent quality in this extremely niche item I had no doubts it would work great and I did was impressed with the quality of workmanship. I think if you take good care of them they will last for many years. The kit includes 3 counterweights that can be screwed into each other if you need to adjust the weight. Very convenient.
