This would be a great tool if the cold shoes on both ends didn't spin freely. This makes the use of microphones and lights pointless. Pun.

Great idea, poor execution. The various shoe mounts are mostly made out of cheap plastic and rotate too easily no matter how hard you tighten the small hex screw that holds them in place. Even those little screws are rubbish if I removed one while trying to tighten the shoe mount. And I was lucky enough to have the SmartRig multi-tool, otherwise I would have doubted I was the right size. Come on Ulanzi.
