For years it was easy 3" clear plastic tape available from Office Depot, OfficeMax, Staples, HomeDepot, etc. Retail stores all stamps: 3M, tape, store stamp. then one day a few years ago the whole tape disappeared and got through replaced a tape that was only 2" wide. This annoyed me because it takes longer to carefully apply the narrower tape to the shipping label to avoid smearing and water damage. The strap is wide which is great but very thin. It's very sticky and I don't use a tape dispenser so sometimes it folds up and sticks to itself and at that point all you have to do is cut it and throw it away, unlike duct tape which you can tear off and still use. Scissors or some sort of blade are a must - don't rip with your hands if you want something remotely useful in the form of a smaller strip. I was told that the only authorized store that sells Uline tapes is your website. I'm not sure how others can sell authentic Uline tapes. That's probably why there are a lot of complaints in the Revain reviews that the tape doesn't hold up well. Either the tapes aren't genuine, or expired, as I was told. .But for this item, this seller has less negative feedback and that is the main reason I bought it.
