🔪 UltraSource 5-Inch Curved/Semi-Flexible Blade Boning Knife with Polypropylene Handle Review

I work on a charter boat and I fish a fillet. All fillet knives are so expensive and I don't like the shape of most. This curved boning knife is perfect, it gets very sharp and stays sharp all day. I can cut up to 50 fish a day. I cut some bones and the knife wore a bit but after I got home and sharpened it was like new again.

I didn't want to spend $60 on a knife that I only use for boning/deboning at home. This is a very good knife for the price, it holds an edge and is easy to sharpen. Out of the box, it's sharp enough to shave off arm hair. This is the third knife I have bought from this brand and all 3 have been very useful. I don't know how it would perform in a professional setting if used all day, every day. I think the steel could be a bit lighter in terms of hardness to hold the edge for such a tough job.

The 5 inch blade is excellent for the awkward boning angles a carcass can present and while semi-flexible has enough lateral resistance to offer good precision when needed. This is a solid knife, VERY sharp and beautifully ergonomic. You don't have to pay big bucks for a quality tool that will last for years. The knife and handle are easy to clean (although be careful when cleaning as as said it is sharp).
