This aquarium is not big enough for fish! Before you buy, find out about the aquarium and the size of the fish. I use it for storage to keep my Betta while I'm cleaning out their 5 gallon tank or it can also be used as a medicine tank if your fish gets sick. It can not be used in everyday life!

It was one of those things that looks cool and interesting but when you get it. It's just stupid. The fish are not visible at all. The light doesn't really penetrate the bowl. And it's really not enough. And my fish died a week after they put it in. So yes. Too expensive for a gimmick.

Please do not buy! It's too small for any fish! Before buying an aquarium, find out about the breed of fish. Bettas will NOT be happy about this. I keep my bettas in a tank that is at least 5.5 gallons. Don't be cruel, the whole world of your fish is the environment you are responsible for placing.

Shame on designer Teddy Luong, who continues male cruelty by designing an aquarium too small to achieve optimal male health and satisfaction. And shame on Revain, as well as Petsmart, Petco, and other retailers who sell these and other ridiculously small containers they call "Betta Homes." People assume they're acceptable if they can be bought, but they're not. If your Betta is not active (and obviously cannot be active in a tank this size) and if he is not blowing bubbles, he is neither happy…

So I have this 2 star tank. A year later, I am reviewing the product as I sit and watch it flow without being damaged. I assume the lifespan of this tank is one year! And it's just terrible. I've never broken it or dropped it or anything but it's losing water and now I have to get another reservoir. It is very attractive and definitely a conversation starter. Would give 0 stars if I could. This is NOT a suitable home for a Betta despite what some reviewers may think. I agree this is a very cute design, but maybe if they sold it in a size that actually held over 3 gallons of water.
