the rod is not straight and wobbles a little

nice to look at. The silly execution of the design may have been a way to streamline the post. However, I had no intention of removing the seal covering the ground to explore and then not being able to put it back on if I was unlucky. If the pole weakens in transit, how will it hold up to daily use?

but I really don't like the foam lined items on the kitchen counter.

Looks and works as expected except for the foam base of the holder - there is a foam insert under the base which is not visible in the photos. I suspect this is to prevent it from scratching and sliding, but I really don't like foam lined kitchen countertops that get wet etc (rough).

Exactly what I was looking for

I bought some cheap stainless steel kitchen roll holders at a local hardware store and the holder had to be operated with two hands or it would tip over. I didn't like it and wanted something strong that you could hold with one hand. Here's the towel rail. It never gets out of frame and I endlessly use one hand to rip the towel off. With the reels I buy, I don't even have to remove the top cap to remove and swap out the reel. worth your money.

Who knew paper towel rolls came in different sizes?

Like other reviewers, I can't tear off a paper towel with one hand with this holder. I use Sparkle paper towels and the roll spins on the stand. I'm not sure exactly what type of paper towel fits on this thing, but some people seem to have good luck with this, so there should be different sized rolls. Still, I love the look, it feels pretty durable and I really don't have to rip off paper towels with one hand. I keep it.

I'm very unimpressed. Other reviewers have mentioned receiving units with damaged bases and mine arrived looking like it had been used as a hammer. Not only was the round base not round at all, but the extension itself holding the paper towel was very wobbly and loose. I would advise looking elsewhere for a stronger and more powerful unit. Unfortunately it looks very cheap.

Perfect and has two great features.

I bought this because my other paper towel holder made the worst and most annoying noise sliding across our quartz countertops. The soft base makes no noise when you pull the paper towel or move the holder across the counter. The rubber core securely holds the core of the paper towel. This allows the kitchen paper to be easily removed with one hand. PROTECTS MY GRANITE COUNTERTOPS! I had just installed granite countertops and I winced every time I heard my old metal paper towel holder drag across the surface as I tried to rip off paper towels with one hand.
