I'm a big fan of Umbra and use a lot of their products but this one was disappointing. Got a replacement directly through Umbra (according to their website) and the replacement didn't work either. The device would fall from the shower even if there was nothing on the shelf.

This item does not work. I followed the online instructions on the company's website and I have a smooth (non-porous) finish. This shelf fell off my shower wall in less than 12 hours. In fact, he fell in the middle of the night and woke us up. I do not recommend buying this product.

It's true that this shelf just won't get stuck - I've been trying all week and brushing, repositioning and pushing hard doesn't help. I like the shelf itself but will have to consider other mounting options as the included suction cups won't last more than a day even with nothing on the shelf.

I bought this so I can have a shelf in the tub for my child to play on. He will always use a ledge and water will get everywhere! That works great! He stays and doesn't move, even if he's rude to him. The best part is that my floor stays dry! I attached it to the wall in the tub a few inches below the ledge to keep the surface smooth.

After reading the comments about the lack of installation instructions and other filing problems, I hesitated to buy it. once i installed it. On the second try, I wiped down the shower screen and let it dry completely, then reinstalled the shelf. The second time I made sure to screw the suction cups to the wall as many times as I could and it lasted over 4 days. This shelf is a great addition to my shower room.

This was an annoying order; I had to return the first shelf I ordered, there were no instructions in the box. Although the outside of the box clearly stated that "instructions are inside" (in no fewer than five languages! When the replacement arrived, guess what? You couldn't find the instructions anywhere!
