🚨 Renewed Uniden DFR9: Extended Range Laser and Radar Detection, GPS with Red Light and Speed Camera Alerts, User-Friendly OLED Display Review

Bought based on independent reviews, not disappointed. I've gotten stuck off-road on occasion, but between this detector and the Waze I was well aware of the upcoming speed trap. Successfully detected on all bands including laser. I don't know how I drove on the Autobahn before I had one.

This is an absolutely great budget radar detector at the moment but this brand's radar detector is usually a very good radar detector. I've had this radar detector for over a month, so far it's giving around 1300-2100 feet per head (measured unprofessionally) but it has a pretty decent manual override system. Good for an upgrade.

I'm not a radar detector tech reviewer and there are plenty of resources if you need them. And there is no doubt that it works and works well. What keeps DFR9 from being great is Uniden's tech support if you're a Mac user. For those who don't know, if you're a Mac user, you're out of luck with firmware/database updates if you don't have P1/P3. I bought this particular radar because it had red light detection and camera options in addition to normal police radio detection. I started using it a few days ago and it had good accuracy, in fact it was a bit too sensitive at times. Suction cups are awful and you'll have to get through some other way. However, as of yesterday it no longer works at all. I mean I've tried plugging it into two different cars, swapped the USB cable, plugged it into an outlet and the same result. Absolutely…
