Leak on first use

We were very happy about this, but soon everything changed. I filled it with water and put it on the wood stove and it leaked everywhere. I emptied it for return and the next day found it was rusty on the bottom. I'm sending it back today.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Little things

Attention rust: heating, cooling and air quality

I work on humidification. What I don't like is that it rusts on the edge of the pot and when you open the lid to fill it, the rusty water drips onto the stove. I suppose it would have a better coating to prevent rusting.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Very expensive

Do not buy: heating, cooling and air quality

We bought this product for our wood stove to keep the humidity in the air so the house does not get so dry 2 months ago the pot got a little crack and is now leaking. Definitely not worth the money. Now we need to find something else that works. And of course it only breaks outside of the return policy. A piece of junk. Don't waste money like us.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • I am silent

very unpleasant chemical smell

very unpleasant chemical smell. not good for those in the sensitive group. I believe your stovetop shouldn't have a "cancer warning". I also had to believe the previous reviews regarding the smell. I'm not sure if porcelain is better, but I'll try. For now I'm going the old fashioned route and using an old aluminum water bowl. Works perfectly and no fumes/odour

I would change something

heats the water - that's what it's for. I would change a few things if I could. It would be handy if the handle stayed vertical as shown in the photo, but for me it's not critical. The lid is a bit difficult to open when water is added (we leave it on the stovetop, on the stand) if you're wearing hot gloves or an oven mitt - again, not a huge problem. A little medley and a few liters of water and you're good to go. Be careful not to pour in too much water or the snout could boil away. Throw a…
