Great little camp stove.

Love it, it's a great product for hiking, camping or just a quick cook on the balcony with just a few charcoal bricks. However, I think it was more for cooking (using a saucepan or small saucepan) like the picture. The grid for the top is designed for this. But that still didn't stop me from frying some pork chops on it!

Good stove for the price - usable, no flaws

Decent pocket wood stove. While there are others that pack more compactly into a backpack or weigh less, they all cost significantly more. For the casual backpacker or someone looking to complete their emergency kit, at $30 it's a pretty good compromise between price and quality. Other premium camping stoves are available for those interested, but the price difference quickly becomes clear.

Great size for a quick snack on a hike!

Very compact size to fit in a backpack. You can easily use this stove for quick cooking. The black carrying bag is nice and flat. The product does not take up much space when traveling. This product was easy to assemble and strong when the pot was placed on it to test its strength. It took me 2 minutes to assemble and disassembly is just as easy. I like a product that easily fits back into the original zip case. This one made easy.

A quality product that works just as well as its construction!

I received the Unigear wood stove in two days! It was neatly packaged and set up in seconds. It's universal. You can use wooden sticks, wood shavings, lighter sticks and/or charcoal. You can remove the ashtray and use propane gas or another method that you can put under the grate above. I boiled 2 cups of water in minutes! You can use a pot or small frying pan, make coffee, heat soup, chili pepper. When you're done with your Unigear wood stove, simply fold it back up and place it back in theโ€ฆ

Great camping stove

To be fair I haven't used this stove in the woods yet. But I've installed it and used it a few times on my patio and even my fireplace just to "feel" it. So far I've used it with an alcohol burner, wood and charcoal with great results. I like the 4 position/height tray that allows for a lot of adjustments. The reason I only gave it 4 stars and not five is that I wish it also came with a removable panel that could be used to cover the front. Don't worry, a few minutes with a pair of scissors, an

Great for camping or light grilling

Just received my Unigear wood stove. I collected it for the first time. It took less than 10 seconds including taking it out of the case. Perfect! While the metal sides are fairly thin, once assembled they are strong enough to put some weight on top. It was a worry. After carefully researching camping stoves, I decided it would be more stable due to the larger footprint and strong due to the weight and warranty. Exceeded expectations. The cooktop is larger than most, compact when folded, runsโ€ฆ

First few uses and next update

Pros: Very heavy compared to what I expected. Almost any small heat source for cooking can be placed in it. Gas, alcohol, coal, firewood. I'm not sure about granules. Hinged design and loose fit in overlapping lugs greatly reduce the chance of warping. Large size with thickness for pots and pans up to 10" in any material. Safe enough for small fires. Use your common sense, don't blame me for setting California on fire. Yet again. Disadvantages: The ash drawer should be deeper. The square faceโ€ฆ
