Base stand: Accessories

I have an iPhone 6s Plus, very tight in the mount. I can't fit my phone in until I remove the case and even then it's still very tight. There's no mechanism to lock the retractable legs, but that doesn't seem to be an issue with the weight of my phone. You also can't tilt the phone far forward, or it will tilt forward. For me these were very small disadvantages, but it was enough to not want to give this article 5 stars.

Notice if your phone is heavy

Nice stand. Legs occasionally get stuck when undressing, but I can overlook that. The biggest problem (in many ways) occurs when I try to put my phone on it. I have an LG V20 which is a chunky, heavy phone. The stand tipped over almost immediately when I rotated the phone vertically (yes, I know I should always shoot horizontally, but mind your own business). You have to adjust your foot size to compensate so it's not perfect but works for the price.

Lasted only 2 weeks and worked perfectly

At first I liked it. Small, nothing special but definitely did its job! It has a rotating mount so you can use it vertically which is nice. I live stream online three times a week at the launch of the application and I think this is an exceptional case. About 2 weeks after receiving it, the screw on the back that tightens the unit to hold certain angles has snapped in half and now I can't lock it in place. Now it's practically useless unless I buy another holster; which doubles the total price.

Ok, but there is room for improvement.

I think I'll like this phone. I have a Samsung 3 with an Otter box. it "barely" fits on the body of the otter box, but it does. However, when I get a new phone that's a bit bigger, I have doubts about my ability to use it. But it was very easy to pair with my phone and it seems to work when the phone is in the center of the stand. The vertical seems more stable; horizontal with otter drawer looks like you can grab it and walk away. but I'll play with it some more, but it definitely doesn't fitโ€ฆ

You get what you pay for

It's ok you get what you pay for. Works but not durable. It's cheaply built. The slide mechanism that you pull to place the phone in the holder slot has popped out. I thought it was because I pulled too hard. However, the main screw that rises up from the tripod legs and connects to the tripod mount actually causes the mount to slip out. It's too long and when I screw the connector back in, the connector actually pops out. Once again you get what you pay for. I'd rather invest my money in aโ€ฆ

Works great until you use it

Product works well initially. I bought it so I can video chat with my baby so it's been pretty good for a couple of weeks. One of the three leg extensions was a bit loose so you really had to tug to make sure it was fully deployed or it would slip out again. The problem is that the tripod is made out of the cheapest plastic imaginable. This meant that when I tightened the locking mechanism to hold the phone in portrait mode, the plastic anchor broke and gravity pushed the phone down. The firstโ€ฆ
