Ground protection: legs and spikes

They do what they were designed to do at a good price. The only complaint is that they are a bit tarnished and I had to polish them a bit. They protect my tiled floor from scratches. I use them under my speaker stands.

Spikes can go into the floor

A hole is almost never drilled, so narrow spikes (like those on my two Vandersteen floorstanding speakers and the one on my M&K subwoofer) can stick through the hole and still stick to the floor to damage. I don't know why they were pierced.

Ideal size for mounting a Marantz amp stand and Elite surge protector.

My amp stands came with 4 pointed support stabilizers to fit the sharp end. Copper speaker pads work very well. If you didn't have these pads, your floor or cabinet wood fixture would be damaged. The pads fit me perfectly. Good buy.

Hole pierced so that small spikes (e.g. on my two Vandersteen floorstanding speakers and on my M&K subwoofer) protrude through the hole and still damage the floor. I don't know why they were pierced.

Simple concept, good execution.

I had to put them under my new spiked speaker stands to keep them from damaging or scratching the ceramic tile floor. They are well made and have a nice chrome finish. Inexpensive as you can sometimes find them at crazy prices. Recommended if you need them for your system.
