🔍 Universal GP Deluxe Rectangular Mirror - 10mm Thread Long Stem - Emgo 20-78207 (Pair) Review

Before that, my car had emgo mirrors. The cone shaped plastic on both had cracked over time so it was nice to find a replacement. It appears to be the same model, just with a slightly updated bar, with a smaller, more modern EMGO logo. They're a little smaller than I would have preferred and maybe a little stiff, but I'm glad I have fresh mirrors that look great and stay where you put them!

These mirrors are advertised as suitable for all motorcycles. Not true. In fact I think they only fit Yamaha or others that use a left hand thread for a right hand mirror. The supplied mirrors are specially made for Yamaha products where the right mirror has a left-hand thread. The seller who sold them put his own "universal" sticker on top of the original "for Yamaha" sticker. Another Revain supplier is wasting my time.

The original mirrors were round so they look a bit odd but for the price I can certainly handle it. I was minutes away from sending them back (in fact I had already printed my return ticket) because the threads were too big to fit. I decided to try again and found adapters that fit the original mirrors. Not sure why Kawasaki put adapters in their 10mm holes to fit the 8mm mirrors, but after removing the adapters the new mirrors fit fine.

They seem cheap, well because they are cheap. They have a cheap looking plastic body with a plastic mirror and then a metal stem. Either way, they're a perfect match for my 2001 Nighthawk 750. They're also surprisingly strong. I poured gravel at about 20mph and the plastic was nothing more than a scratch which I can't say for other OEM bike metal parts. These mirrors are surprisingly very durable for cheap plastic.

You get what you pay for. There is no description, but the body of the flat black mirror is plastic, not metal. The price is not that high, but it looks kind of cheap. I love how they flash out of the stock mirrors on my 11 Honda Shadow Phantom. As previous reviewers have pointed out, these are flat mirrors, not convex like on the stock.
