Really tight fit

This strap was smaller in diameter and shorter than stock. However, I had it stretched in front of the flywheel and then over the engine pulley. It's a really comfortable fit and the sewing machine struggles at slow speeds. I think it's better if it stretches over time, we'll see. I'm still looking for a better full size replacement strap.

Very close to Kenmore 158.1503 which requires a 14 inch belt plus

This o ring belt says 15 inches. It can be used but is too tight. I don't recommend using an o-ring as a replacement for a drive belt if it doesn't fit properly. With gravity clamping system (oscillating weight of the drive motor adjusts the tension). - the ring is installed and the motor does not sag, you run the risk of overtightening the motor bearings and they will not last long.

Fits perfectly! Also, I have a spare.

I inherited a 1957 Kenmore sewing machine from my mother and didn't know the part number. All I could do was measure the broken part of the car and make a guess. The description of this item says "fits a 13-15" belt" and my size fits within that range. So I took a chance on it fitting. It fits perfectly! My machine started right away and has in the last Worked well for 2 weeks. Plus I have a spare! Definitely a good investment.
