Disappointing Outdoor Boots for Boys

These boots didn't stand up to the winter weather they were marketed for. My son's feet were wet and cold after only a short time outside. While the boots were stylish, they lacked the necessary waterproofing to make them practical for outdoor play.

So Far So Good

My child has broad, thick legs. He usually wears size 2 Nike and NB sneakers. I had to get a 3 in these boots because of the width of his foot. Length 2 was ok, but the width over the entire area (including the edge of the shaft) was too narrow. Some of me played in the cold Minnesota snow for about 45 minutes (we're about 1.5 feet now) and his feet were warm and dry. . They are light and break in well. They also have pretty good traction like a running shoe. I used to always buy Crocs winter…

Keep your baby's feet dry and warm in water, mud, snow and 20 degree weather.

Edit 02/06/21 Finally a real snow storm and my son refused to wear anything but these so we gave it a try. I'm happy to say that these boots did a fantastic job! 20+ inches of snow and about 20*F, boots didn't close over 2 pairs of pants, winter pant cuffs and sock (too tight for 2 socks despite being too big). His feet stayed warm and dry even after digging and playing outside for more than 2 hours on two different days. On the third day, his feet got wet, but the cuffs of his snowsuit were…
