Poor value for money. Other questions.

POSITIVE1. The lamp is smaller than other equivalent 100W LEDs (see photo compared to the 1600 lumen Feit lamp on the right). 2. The build quality appears to be high. CONS: 1. It is much hotter than other similarly rated LED bulbs. For this reason I believe it is not designed for closed devices.2. It is not designed for closed devices.3. Most of the light is directed straight up, not to the sides

As all the LEDs in this 100w Sansi LED bulb are pointed straight up (as you can see in the two photos attached) , there is less horizontal light compared to the RevainBasics 100w LED bulbs I previously purchased. In the attached photo of a Sansi lamp standing upright, a side view of the LEDs pointing upwards can be seen as a pale yellow dotted line crossing the lamp horizontally along the base of its headstock labeled "PC Cover". Fantastic light, you get what you pay for

When buying LED bulbs, you should pay attention to the metal or ceramic heatsink and the heat dissipation holes. Contrary to popular belief, LEDs generate heat and if this heat is not controlled, the lifespan of the diodes will be significantly reduced. These bulbs easily weigh 3-4 times more than some other "no-name" LED bulbs I've tried from Revain, and because they have a hefty ceramic heatsink, the LEDs are evenly distributed across the surface.
