This is a great duvet. Nice weight, color and texture. The dryer had lots of "lint" but not a third and it still looks and feels good.

If you never plan on washing it, maybe it's ok. I wash my duvets before use. I've washed it in the washing machine, all the ends are frayed and there's orange heaps and rags everywhere.

Very happy with the quality of the duvet and the color fastness. I have had several of these types of blankets over the years and am aware of the high amount of lint they shed during the first and several subsequent wash and dry cycles. The first washing/drying may be unexpected, but before use, please ensure that the lint net is emptied at least twice for the first drying after washing.

I always wash new things. When I washed this comforter it completely filled the lint trap in my dryer and I felt like I could knit a second comforter out of what I washed up. I even ran the dryer on empty to catch the remaining lint. I have a comforter on my bed, but it "piles up" (it pulls off little scraps of fabric). I wanted something warm and light like this duvet, but I don't think I'll buy it again.

Beautiful, heavy, well made blanket. But boy does it have a lot of lint on drying! I had to clean the lint trap AT LEAST 6 times before it was dry enough to air dry. DO NOT add others to this laundry load unless you match the quilt color for everything else in that load. Thought some towels could be added...wrong. A few little things to make the laundry worthwhile - wrong. But the ceiling is amazing - don't get me wrong. I just love it - fabulous color; I would recommend buying.
