Not Worth the Money

After trying this replacement part, I'm thoroughly disappointed with the quality. The pros? None to speak of. The cons? Poor fit and cheap material that caused frustrating installation and yielded no noticeable improvement in emissions or sound. Steer clear of this product and invest in something better.

Pros
  • Durable and long-lasting construction.
Cons
  • Higher price point compared to similar products on the market.

Bad design: exhaust and emissions

The part did not fit into the existing holes in the car. I had to drill holes to mount the cover. After about 2 weeks the seal failed and I am now back where I started with a leaking car.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some disadvantages

Seems to solve the valley leak problem on the M62TUB44.

Seems to solve the Lecky Valley problem on the M62TUB44 engine (in my case it's a 1999 BMW 540i E39). Driven for 2 years and no problems. Time will tell, but once installed it looked promising.

Pros
  • Pleasing
Cons
  • Reliability
