I used it in an amateur radio box. The USB cable is too long and thick for my limited space. The headphone/speaker cable is thin enough to work. I am looking for a replacement but wanted to complete the project and not wait for a suitable replacement to be found.

This item comes in handy to improve your car. It puts both the mini jack and the USB socket in one easily accessible place (not on the back of your stereo). The only negative I found was the mount after you screwed the socket into the mount. It is almost impossible to insert a bolt set as they are blocked by the turnbuckle.

I installed this wire in place of a cigarette lighter socket on my 2003 Chevy Suburban. Ideal. Make sure to use loktight on the threads during installation. Looks factory and works great. quality cable. The only change I would recommend is a metal thread and nut as the plastic wears out easily so needs to be tightened.

Fits perfectly in the extra cigarette lighter holder on the center console of my Silverado. I had to cut a hole as I didn't have the option and then route the wires to my stereo. everything looks great and works fine. The USB connector in particular holds the cable well and firmly. The lid is optional - I used it and it looks even more "factory". Good product!

The length of the cables was longer than I needed (which is good) and allowed some flexibility in their placement. I hooked it up to another device which then connected to the factory radio on the back giving me a much needed extra input and USB port for charging. Installation looks like it came from the factory. I am very happy.

In fact it worked pretty well for the most part. The lock nut is rubber and was quite difficult to tighten. Otherwise it worked quite well. Check the size of the hole saw you need to use, I didn't see it in the box and actually cut it slightly larger than intended, but the rest that came with it covered any imperfections. I went for a hidden mount that I drilled into an empty spot in my 4Runner's fairing next to the coin holder (ashtray). Worked great. I give 5 stars for the fast delivery and…
