Works well but poor fit.

Electrical and signal connections work fine but pay attention to the mounting tabs. They are quite brittle and break easily. I have to tape it so it doesn't come off the dashboard.

Great USB extender for cars

I originally bought these to add a USB port to the top of the Wrangler JKU dash. I've since used them as USB ports in a Chevy Traverse, replacing the blank panel with 2 of these. They fit the hole perfectly so it looks like they hit the dash.

I cut a hole in my dashboard (in my car) to mount this USB connector next to the car stereo that I connect my phone to. Now I don't have a USB cable coming out from under the dash for my phone.

Good USB cable at Cables & Interconnects

What's good: This is a really fast cable. My Pioneer head unit does not work with all USB cables, this one works with no problems. The Bad: The locking jaws/tabs are a little flimsy so make sure the size of the mounting hole is correct. To prevent the bushing from being pulled out of the dash I inserted a screw between the body and the locking tabs, this held the bushing in place (inserting was no problem, it pulled out).

Could be better for computer accessories and peripherals

Works, but the clips that are supposed to hold the face broke on my device. I would like this unit to come with a cutting template to help with installation. Had to fill the head with epoxy after the locking tabs broke during installation.
