Purchased 04/16/2021 Failed today 09/14/2021 It is still charging the device but cannot transfer data. The cable is not physically broken or worn out. Optically in perfect condition, but does not transfer data. I tested it with different phones and different devices to rule out other variables. It's definitely a bad cable.

I use these on my 2014 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic to connect my phone to the infotainment center. My phone attaches to the handlebars and the 1 foot length is perfect. I don't have any extra cables dangling or getting in the way. I have 10 inch monkeys on my bike and that's enough. If you have a Harley Davidson Boom GTS and want to use Apple Carplay or Android Auto these 1ft cables will work well with it.

The cables appear to be well made but I've only had them a few days so I can't comment on how long they will last in the long run. The only thing I would like for "my personal” application is more flexibility. These cables are quite stiff and I use them to connect my phone to the Android Auto jack in the new 21 Ridgeline's console. A large phone (Galaxy S21 Ultra) in a small console room.

USB cables don't last forever and as I currently work in a car where I plug and unplug my phone over 20 times a day to travel to different locations with Android Auto my previous USB cable was for The One foot long charger wore out after a few weeks of use. Why has Android Auto lost contact with my phone for two days? Hopefully it's a cable and not my machine's USB input. Success! I don't know how long they will last but I bought three and have a spare in the car just in case.

I don't know how to put it but when my wife tried this cable on her Samsung Using S8+, the USB-C cable wouldn't make a clean connection - it kept dropping the charging aspect. When I connected it to my S8+ it connected cleanly. I compared the ends of the USB-C to other cables we have and they are slightly shorter. I tried all three cables on their phone with the same result. I'm leaving them because they seem to work on all of our other USB-C devices.

These extensions work great on my two machines with my Moto G7 and Samsung 9 so it's fantastic. However, there is one item that makes the cords outstanding. The problem is that the cables are not very flexible. Considering you are using a 1ft cable it would be nice if it had less resistance to bending so the phone could more easily rest on the center console in the car. My rating is therefore 4 stars. also a good option.
