I was looking for a way to use an extra PCI-E NVME drive I had laying around and this adapter worked great. Adding an NVME drive to the board was relatively easy, but screwing in a screw from the back of the board was slightly different. There are numerous comments about the case getting very hot. In my experience most NVME drives tend to get pretty hot unless you add an aftermarket heatsink to the drive. I bought this to house a 250GB Evo 970 NVME M.2 drive. I am using this as a Time Machine backup drive for my MacBook Pro 2016. The price itself was better than most NVMe M.2 cases and it does exactly what is advertised. I bought this case to help a friend migrate their current NVMe M.2 to this one. He switched from the cheaper standard brand to the Crucial brand. Acronis for Crucial could not identify the drive as a Crucial drive. I'm not sure if it was the case, but the problem persisted.
