These stainless steel USG matrix knives are just as good, if not better than wallboards or wood-handled knives.

I have been making drywall for over 30 years. Made from Matrix stainless steel, these USG knives are as good, if not better, than wood-handled wallboards or vintage Ames mother-of-pearl. I will use these knives as long as they make them. Shield - Drywall Guru

The best tape knife in this style

These are the best stainless steel tape knives I have found; No screws to rust or clean, more ergonomic design than what is available in local big department stores. TapeTech makes the best smoothing blades, but they're great for the first coat and for getting dirt onto the wall. Notice how you can keep the handle closer to the blade than any other design; that's what I mean by ergonomics; the best leverage.
