UTEX Kids Sling Bookshelf Magazine Review

Took me under 10 minutes to install it myself and it fits in all of the books we browse most. It's canvas so don't expect it to replace a larger bookshelf with more storage space, but it's the perfect size for my 2 year old to reach out and grab his favorite books.

This bookshelf looked like a great item but we had to return it because it comes with a warning about formaldehyde, which can cause cancer. If the web description had noted that, we wouldn't have bought it in the first place. It's so sad to have him back but our health is much more important

Small so probably not a big risk of falling if a child pulls on it. However, we will find a way to mount it to the wall when our child is old enough to try and pull it up. Great for storing lots of books, small books won't display well due to the deeper pockets. .

TERRIBLE PRODUCT. Cloth shelves, they move when books are added to other shelves. The shelves connecting the shelves are far in front so the books lean forward. As you add books to other shelves, the fabric will move up and down and all the books will fall forward. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. TERRIBLE DESIGN. I don't know why there are so many positive reviews.

The instructions say all you need is a screwdriver, but that's far from true. It was not possible to fully insert the nails into the wooden sticks to ensure a tight fit. I need to borrow a drill to complete the task. It's also very easy to scratch, which doesn't bode well if you have crazy kids like me.

Half of the needle pockets had needle marks but no thread. Collect failed. A convenient way to store lightweight children's books and magazines. However, watch out for toddlers trying to climb on it! Relatively light and relatively easy to draw.

Easy assembly. Seems pretty strong. That's what I was looking for, but the pockets are too deep for children's books (huge knot). Pretty easy once you know how to sew. I don't know when the manufacturers stopped putting those little vinyl stickers to cover up the crew holes, but the screws that come out look unattractive. I think I'll order stickers. Just a note to the producers, this looks like a work in progress. Give away stickers.

I really wanted this bookcase but the design is just awful. During assembly, the screw holes didn't line up where the bars were supposed to be, so my husband had to drill new holes to make it work. Then one of the poles broke, so he had to pinch it tighter to keep the whole pole from falling apart.
