The shelf looks good, is sturdy and easy to assemble BUT it smells like 100 spray cans exploded in my house. I had to put it in the garage for a month and it's only now starting to be bearable. It still smells faintly and maybe in a month I'll feel comfortable putting it indoors.

The amount of storage in such a small space is really fantastic, especially when you add some fabric cubes to make 3 square compartments more economical. The only problem I had was tilting and fastening a piece of wood without falling off or fear of breaking. I recommend having a second person nearby for this step, but otherwise it's very easy to build and structurally sound!

For the price I expected a little more quality. I probably wouldn't pay more than $60 for it if I saw it in a store. It came pretty scratched, I'll try to paint it with a pen. It's not very solid, but should work. Assemble everything (very difficult if you try to do it yourself), there's no way I'm taking it apart to get it back. 😂 Do yourself a favor and find something better for the price.

It was easy to assemble (despite a couple of screws that were in the wrong bag with others) and seems pretty solid when it does is done. However, I lowered my rating to a 4 because the containers have a VERY strong chemical smell (e.g. opening the packaging made it unbearable) and the shelf itself scratches very easily. Odoban and the night airing outdoors seem to have helped the dustbin smell somewhat, but it's still there.

We are very glad we bought it to store our grandson's toys. It was easy to assemble, solid MDF and well designed. The bottom 2 baskets are large and can hold lots of toys and the shelves are handy. We didn't notice any ink fumes, but in our experience some people sometimes complain about heavy ink fumes when products arrive shortly after they're made. - just a thought.
