Purchased because of a severe house dust mite allergy. The mattress was easy to climb on and it fits our 13 inch deep mattress with spare material. It doesn't look like plastic or vinyl and we can't even tell it's on the bed. It has had a significant impact on my allergies. .

This mattress pad seems to be made for kids who have bedwetting problems. If you are an adult who might want to protect your mattress from bed bugs/fleas/drink spills etc, forget it. This thing is lined with plastic, so there's always a loud rustling sound, not to mention intense body heat/sweat bouncing off you non-stop. Not sure if an adult could sleep on it but returned it immediately and bought another brand (don't know why I got lost in the first place, my fault for trusting the reviews)…

My family and I were bitten by bugs and I wanted to try a cheaper cure before paying a professional. This is the perfect addition to a new or existing bed. I recently purchased a brand new Tempurpedic Pro Adapt and went with it as my previous bed didn't have a 'sealed' mattress pad! This is a tiny investment in my $$$$$$$ bed. I covered my bed with a Tempurpedic sheet, then a waterproof, stain-resistant sheet, and then Utopia.
