Very heavy, thick and absorbent. Anyone having trouble with this towel must have either gotten a bad batch or be the biggest whiner in the world. UPDATE: I just washed them for the first time and now they look like a cross between sandpaper and a cheese grater. I wouldn't recommend them unless you want pretty rags.
